About SciTrek and the pecan sale
What is SciTrek?
SciTrek is a mission-driven organization dedicated to advancing science education across the Southeast. While it began as the Science & Technology Museum of Atlanta, SciTrek now focuses on programs, initiatives, and partnerships that inspire learning and curiosity for students of all ages.
Why is the pecan sale now supporting other programs instead of VECA?
The pecan sale has a rich history supporting VECA, and we are grateful for all past contributions. With the Valdosta City Schools Board of Education's decision to close VECA, SciTrek chose to continue funding science education programs and to try to reach even more students and communities across the Southeast.
